Going to couples therapy is a normal part of growing together.
You feel stuck and can’t seem to get back on track by yourselves. Sometimes it’s that your are stuck in conflict or just experiencing a transition that is throwing you for a loop.
There are many reasons why couples go to therapy.
A few common examples include; communication issues, harmful behaviors, bottled up negative feelings, past hurts or transitional things like retirement, marriage or the arrival of a new baby.
You have control over the whole process. I am never there to take a side; only to guide you, educate you and send you on your way before you know it.
Therapy is not forever.
My goal as your therapist is to get you started and on your way as soon as you are ready.
What is the process?
Couple’s therapy usually consists of 50-minute sessions with the two of you, along with a few one-on-one sessions.
The first thing you must do is talk to your partner and agree on going to couple’s therapy.
After you and your partner make the decision to explore couple’s therapy, you can give me a call for a 20-minute free phone consult. On this call, we will decide if we are a good fit for each other.
The next step will be to set up the appointment!
