A QEEG is a type of brain scan someone gets to capture what their brain looks like in order to obtain a baseline before entering into a type of brain training called neurofeedback. Neurofeedback has been around for a long time; originally developed to treat seizures, now it is used to treat anything from sleep disturbances to brain injuries.
The reason why Greenway Therapy promotes neurofeedback is because your nervous system sometimes gets stuck in a gear after years and years of use and neurofeedback is an effective tool to get it unstuck. Most of the time neurofeedback treatment is not covered by insurance, but with more consumers looking for a drug free treatment to ailments insurance companies will hopefully hop on board in the coming years.
If you want to learn more about neurofeedback you can order a book off Amazon called Neurofeedback 101.
