Greenway Therapy is now offering a Mental Health Group for individuals in the community who struggle with mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bi-polar disorder.
This group is designed for individuals who are struggling with the symptoms of a mental health condition and would like to engage in group therapy as a primary or supplemental treatment model. The focus of this group is to provide coping skills and regulation skills for individuals who are dealing with mental health issues.
Patients will receive skill sets that include coping skills to treat the symptom of the Mental Health condition and regulation skill sets that will treat the origin of the mental health condition. These skill sets are designed to empower Patients with both the knowledge and confidence to prevent, intervene and crisis manage their mental health symptoms and conditions.
These skill sets will then be used to create and personally customize a mental health relapse plan. This plan will enable group members to effectively govern their mental health symptoms by designing a mental health friendly lifestyle. This lifestyle will incorporate necessary features that will provide a proactive approach to mental health management.
Additional benefits of this group therapy include the support and encouragement of peers who are engaged in a similar struggle, a safe and nurturing atmosphere which will reassure group members to share thoughts and feelings about their mental health issues, an experienced group therapist who will add therapeutic direction and counseling to the group support, and inspiration and guidance on taking the journey towards authenticity and self-growth.
*** Medication monitoring and medication management WILL NOT be a part of this group therapy package. ***
