“Normal is merely a setting on the dryer.” -unknown
Hello, and thank you for stopping in to learn a bit about me. I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in training who brings warmth, steadiness, and cultural awareness to my work. I am finishing my graduate training at Northwestern University and am committed to creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported as they work through their healing and identify what their “normal” is.
I work with people of all ages and meet each person with curiosity, compassion, and respect for their unique lived experiences. I pay close attention to how people express themselves, whether through words, feelings, creativity, or quiet moments, and bring patience and openness to every session. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and a belief that everyone can grow and change.
Before starting my counseling career, I spent years developing my own emotional awareness and reflective habits. This helps me stay present and connected with clients. I value building real connections, offering steady support, and taking time to build trust. I see healing as something that happens in relationships and work with clients as partners, honoring their strengths, identities, and stories.
