Sarah McCabe
LCSW, Clinical Staff
I am deeply committed to cultivating an authentic connection with clients focusing on the unique aspects of each client’s experiences. We will be exploring your life through an integrative health model. I am informed by a myriad of therapeutic approaches coming from a culturally competent, trauma informed care perspective rooted in attachment theory as a lens to explore my client’s experiences. Specific modalities employed when working with me range from: Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques, Solution Focused interventions, mindfulness, and acceptance and empowerment practices. My aim is to support individuals into awareness of their personal strengths and to encourage the resolution of unwanted emotional experiences and the development of more mental clarity, joy and resilience.
Clients who I have worked with are individuals and families dealing with complex life transitions ranging from Neal adult life, sexuality, educational and vocational transitions, relationship dynamics, marriage and divorce, custody issues, pregnancy to death and dying. I have experience with military and civilian PTSD, sexual trauma, domestic violence, issues related to suicide, anxiety, and depression, psychotic disorders, Bi-Polar Disorder, ADD/ADHD, substance use issues, neurocognitive disorders, chronic medical issues, and care giver support.
I am deeply empathetic and believe that joy and recovery are available to all humans and feel honored to join you on your journey into the life you envision.
